about

I work mostly in text, presented in video work, sound and performance.

I think of my written work as much as a piece of composition as it is generative. I am interested in the way that writing that goes through the body, is digested and swallowed, and the phrases, words and sentiments that linger. Within my work I play with the suspended state between text and it’s received meaning, the end goal being that the text is it is changed and shaped by the reader - I want to allow the reader space for a ‘radical interpretation’. I want text to be experienced as a both an expression of meaning but also a material experience of letters, form and sound. The tension between an abject and dykeish sense of the body, and a sense of spiritual desire or existence is where I would like to place my audience, if just for a second.
